We Have a Winner!

What a great initial meeting for GIG-Montgomery. About 40 people in attendance and we now have 30 members. Keep spreading the word!

Directions to GIG-Montgomery Meeting
We will have signs up, but be sure to go to the Taylor Road Baptist Church entrance the farthest away from Taylor Road. You will enter the doors facing the open field, off of Berryhill Road. There are stairs and an elevator on your left—go up to 2nd floor and you will see the room.

Exciting News for GIG-Montgomery Members!
Much thanks to both our long-standing and new health food stores. Health Wise Foods (Atlanta Highway) has offered our members a 10% discount on gluten free foods. When you join you will receive our membership card, which you simply present when checking out at Health Wise.

The “Hail Merry” company has shipped one of its most popular treats for our members to try—chocolate macaroons. Not only are they GF but also “raw, vegan, rich in omegas, no refined sugar, no heated oils, and living enzymes.”

Gluten Free Pasta Samples
First community-wide meeting is less than two weeks away!
We will be offering memberships in GIG-Montgomery for $10/year. One of the many benefits of joining is the opportunity to receive samples of gluten-free products from manufacturers eager for the GF community to sample their offerings. Since GF food can be pricier than equivalent gluten-filled products, members are sure to appreciate this opportunity to try products before purchasing them.
The first 25 members to join will receive a sample packet of bionaturae organic gluten free pasta at our meeting on Feb. 24th (**see below). If you know that you will not be able to attend, you can print the membership form and mail it with dues to the address provided. If received before the meeting, a sample packet will be reserved for you to pick up at the next meeting.

Gluten Intolerance Group-Montgomery Board Members
Meet the other GIG-Montgomery board members:
Pam Green is a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Diabetes Educator. She is the manager of the Baptist Health Center for Diabetes and Nutrition Education. She lives in Montgomery, AL with her husband and two children. Both her husband and son have Celiac and Type 1 Diabetes.
Ruth Givens enjoys staying at home raising her three children and working part-time as the Children’s Ministry Director at Taylor Road Baptist Church with her husband, David. They live in Montgomery, Al. Ruth is learning to live with gluten sensitivity.
